Preface
Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners was originally founded in Osaka in January
1981 as “Ishikawa, Tsukamoto Miyazaki Law Offices” with
the thought of creating a firm capable of responding to clients’ needs
arising in an era of globalization and specialization.
The firm name was changed to “Oh-Ebashi Law Offices” in January
1983. Following revisions to the Practicing Attorney Law permitting the
establishment of legal professional corporations, Oh-Ebashi Law Offices
was reorganized as a legal professional corporation under the name “Oh-Ebashi
LPC & Partners” (“Oh-Ebashi”) in August 2002
and opened its Tokyo office in September of the same year.
In addition, in connection with the recognition of activities of foreign
law firms by the Chinese government in 1995 as part of China’s
foreign open door policy, Oh-Ebashi opened its Shanghai office
in July 1995.
